GLP-1 Medication Disclaimer
At Allure Wellness Center, the only GLP-1 medication we carry, dispense and administer on-site is generic liraglutide manufactured by Hikma Pharmaceuticals. This product is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes; its use for weight management is off-label and prescribed only when your provider determines it is clinically appropriate.
Other GLP-1 medications, including FDA-approved semaglutide and tirzepatide products, are prescribed to the pharmacy of your choice when appropriate. In limited cases, when a provider documents a patient-specific clinical need that an FDA-approved product cannot meet, a compounded GLP-1 medication may be prescribed and prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. The FDA has not reviewed them for safety, effectiveness or quality, and they are not generic versions of, or the same as, any FDA-approved drug.
